21st November - Enterprise Week in Year 3!

This week was Enterprise Week, and we worked together as a team to plan, create, and sell our own products. We handmade soaps and sold them to parents and carers on Friday. Throughout the week we completed maths lessons to calculate costs, selling prices, and profit. In literacy, we designed posters to promote handwashing, and on the computers we created our own soap labels, pick-and-mix labels, and even name tags for ourselves. We assigned different roles for everyone in the shop and even re-enacted Dragons’ Den to pitch our products. We made both the soap and the soap dishes completely from scratch, and decorated the classroom with tablecloths, signs, and bunting to attract our customers. It was a fun and exciting week where we learned new profit and entrepreneurial skills and worked brilliantly as a team. Here is just a glimpse of what the week entailed...
