3rd July - Sports day and more!

Year 1 had a fantastic Sports Day and it was wonderful to see everyone joining in with enthusiasm and determination throughout the morning.

The children took part in a carousel of activities, giving everyone the chance to enjoy different challenges and show great teamwork and encouragement. There was plenty of excitement during the sprint races, with children demonstrating speed, focus and lots of cheering from their friends. One of the highlights of the day was the welly wanging event, which brought plenty of smiles and laughter! It was great to see every child taking part, trying their best and supporting one another.

In Geography, the children continued their learning about weather by making their own windsocks. This hands-on activity helped deepen their understanding of how wind moves and how we can observe weather conditions in the world around us.

We would also like to remind families about our Open Evening next Thursday — a wonderful opportunity to visit the classroom and see all that the children have learned and achieved during their time in Year 1.
