Friday 27th March - Happy Easter

What a fun and exciting last week of term we have had in Year 2!

This week, we took part in a fantastic sponsored move. It was lovely to welcome Mr Sharp, who came in to tell us all about his upcoming marathon—what an inspiration! A big thank you as well to Mrs Chambers for supporting Mrs Sharp in running a fun and energetic half-hour movement session for the children. It was a wonderful way to get active while raising money, so well done to everyone who took part!

We also kicked off our DT project this week, where we began designing and making our very own wooden fire engines. The children are already showing great creativity and enthusiasm. As these models take time and care to create, we will be continuing this project after the Easter break.

In music, we have been learning to play the ukulele. This week, we consolidated our knowledge of the C chord and learned how to play F. The children did a fantastic job practising and then performing their songs—such great progress!

To round off a brilliant week, we enjoyed a fun Easter egg hunt, which was the perfect way to celebrate the end of term and kick-start the holidays.

I hope you all have a wonderful and restful Easter break!

Mrs Clewley
