Friday 8th May - Class assembly and seaside fun
This week in Year 2 has been all about preparing for our class assembly — and what a fantastic performance it was! I am incredibly impressed with all of the children. They learnt their lines brilliantly and performed with such enthusiasm and confidence. Performing in front of an audience can be very challenging, but every child should feel extremely proud of themselves. They truly shone on stage!
A huge thank you to all the families who came to watch and support the children. Your encouragement means so much to them and helped make the assembly such a special occasion.
In Geography this week, we explored the features of a seaside. We focused particularly on Brighton and used Google Earth to identify both physical and human features. The children then worked collaboratively in groups to design and create their own seaside towns, including features such as piers, cliffs, beaches, shops, and much more. They showed fantastic teamwork and creativity throughout the activity.
Have a wonderful weekend all,
Mrs Clewley
